Program's for Undergraduate Student-Media Studies (20 seats)
After completing your Intermediate Certificate 2 - you can also choose to transfer your credits directly to the third year BA (Hons.) programme at various universities in the UK and finish your undergraduate studies with a degree from the UK.
On completion of the Higher Certificate 2 from WLCI, you are additionally awarded Advanced Diploma in Media from WLC College U.K.

The Media School also offers you Professional programmes in Mass Communication. You will gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different forms of mass media and learn to read, analyze and deconstruct media texts and images.

This programme gives you an understanding of major theoretical perspectives in media and cultural studies. You will carry out research on a selected topic or issue and communicate your findings persuasively through a presentation. You will study the relationship between Media and society, analyze media stories /programmes and discuss these with professionals to develop a deeper understanding of symbiotic relationship between Media and society.

The programme on Television Production gives you a thorough understanding of this powerful medium. You will study and analyze theoretical approaches to understand how 'meaning' is constructed and represented in the television media. You will view, research and critically analyze different TV programmes and demonstrate your understanding through a presentation. During the programme, you will be taught how to research, source and write news stories and features for television. You will also learn scriptwriting skills and learn to report, interview and anchor stories.
The programme also focuses on imparting hands-on training in television production including direction, shooting and editing techniques. You will also learn production planning and budgeting and demonstrate your abilities by handling the production of a short TV programme for an independent producer.

On completion of this programme you would have acquired competencies to take up careers in television production and documentary film direction and production.
